Proposed Winkleigh 23Mwe Gasifier: Tyndall Centre Public Opinion Survey

A small North Devon renewable power company called Peninsula Power Ltd, has proposed that a biomass gasifier should be built in the parish of Winkleigh, North Devon, as part of the proposed Winkleigh Biomass Generator.

In 2004, Dr Paul Upham and Dr Simon Shackley, of the Tyndall Centre (North), The University of Manchester, conducted a survey in the parish of Winkleigh, into the opinion of local residents to the proposals. The survey was funded by the EPSRC's SUPERGEN Biomass and Bioenergy consortium.
