This workshop was held with Nordic Energy Research to provide the basis for an evaluation of the sustainable application of biomass in the Nordics for biofuels for heating and transport sectors. The aim was to contribute to a policy brief summarising the various perspectives as well as an outline of potential Nordic solutions for sustainable use of biomass, at the request of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

Participants were challenged to discuss strategic questions formulated by a number of representatives from industry and research.
