Early Career Researcher Forum

The Early Career Researcher Forum will take place in the Scania Room at Chalmers University of Technology on Monday 4 November.

The address is Chalmersplatsen 4, Gothenburg and directions are available online. The main conference venue (5-6 November) Gothia Towers is only one tram stop away (tram numbers 6, 8, 13).

To start meeting Early Career Researchers with common interests ahead of the conference

11:00 – 11:45 Research pitch – presentations by ECRs

Participants will give a one-minute pitch presentation of their ongoing research.

11:45 – 12:00 Coffee break with refreshments
12:00 – 12:55 Q&A session with guest speakers from academia, policy and industry sectors

In this session, guest speakers from the conference will share their career journey and provide advice for early career researchers to pursue successful careers in the bioenergy/biofuels field providing different perspectives from the academia, policy and industry sectors.

Pitch presentations

A key part of the forum will be getting to know people and understanding their work. To help with this, please prepare a one-minute pitch presentation of your ongoing research. Please find more details in the instructions below. There will be a prize for the best presentation, judged by the slide and the delivery.

Site visit

Please note that only registered participants will be able to attend the Volvo site visit in the afternoon.

Poster presentations

If you are presenting a poster at the conference, there will be time for you set up at Gothia Towers from 3pm to 6pm. (Site visit participants will be dropped at Gothia Towers at 4.30pm.)
