My name is Phuthiphong Ouitrakoon. Currently, I study PhD in chemistry at Imperial College London. I am working with Brandt-Talbot’s, Hallett’s and Shaffer’s research group to study about a relationship between lignin and lignin-based carbon fibers. I have experience in ionic liquids, lignin extraction, fiber spinning techniques, and optimizing the carbonization process to improve mechanical properties, such as tensile strength. My research contributes to reducing the carbon footprint of carbon fiber production while advancing the use of renewable materials in high-performance applications.
