Bioenergy and Land Use Workshop

EERA Bioenergy Joint Programme / SUPERGEN Bioenergy Cooperation Workshop

Location: 170 Princes Gate, Imperial College, London SW7 5HF

Date: Thursday 2 June 2016

Venue, participants and objectives

This workshop will review currently ongoing research on the topic of the relationship between bioenergy development and land-use, from local to global scales. The main objective of the workshop is to propose ideas for common R&D projects within the members of the UK SUPERGEN Hub and the EERA Bioenergy Joint-Programme, targeting national or European calls for 2016 and 2017.

Participants are expected from the institutes involved in the SUPERGEN Hub and sub-programme 4 of the EERA Bioenergy JP. Invitations may be extended to relevant representatives from other research institutes, the industry and government bodies. A total of 20 to 50 participants are thus expected.

The workshop is scheduled on June 2nd, at Imperial College in London, and is free of charge. To register, you simply need to send an e-mail to Benoit Gabrielle ( with your name, organisation name and email address.

Short presentations are invited from workshop participants in the two main sessions: if you would like to give a talk, please send an e-mail to Patricia Thornley ( ) and Benoit Gabrielle ( ) with a title and an abstract (or at least a few lines on the content) by May 10th.We will respond to these suggestions by May 20th.
