Director appointed to the new Science and Technology Advisory Council
Our Director Patricia Thornley is part of the new team of scientific leaders appointed to the new Science and Technology Advisory Council announced today by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
The council has been set up to provide robust, scientific, evidence-based information to support key decisions to reach clean power by 2030. It will provide independent insights and the latest research on topics such as climate science, energy, engineering, and AI, helping ministers improve decision-making and effectiveness of policy implementation.
It will be co-chaired by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s Director General Chief Scientific Adviser, Paul Monks, and Professor David Greenwood, CEO of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult at Warwick Manufacturing Group.
