Early Career Researcher Proposal Writing Workshop

The Supergen Hubs are hosting a joint Proposal Writing event for Early Career Researchers on Tuesday 23 August at Manchester University.

The workshop will be facilitated by trainer Dr. Chris St Pourçain from Catalyst Science Editing. The aim of the workshop is to introduce participants to the research grant funding process and provide participants with the knowledge and skills to write competitive research grant applications consistently.

Register your free place here. Spaces are available across all the Supergen Hubs so early booking is advised.

The format will be a hybrid (in-person and online) interactive workshop with slide presentations, individual work, small group discussions and exercises, and whole-group discussions and question and answer sessions.

This workshop is suitable for:
• People with little or no knowledge of the research grant funding process (such as final year PhD students, post-doctoral research assistants and early career research fellows and lecturers) but who want to understand the funding process and expect to write research grants in the future.
• Established research fellows and lecturers who already have some experience or knowledge of research grant funding but want to understand the funding process more fully and write competitive research grants consistently.

Supporting material will be available through a Moodle-based online platform two weeks before and two weeks after the workshop. If you have any questions, please email: supergen-bioenergy@aston.ac.uk
