Supergen Bioenergy Hub events in Glasgow in May

Workshop: BECCS and BECCUS for net-negative emission technologies
Tuesday 12 May, University of Glasgow

This workshop, jointly organised by the Supergen Bioenergy Hub and IEA (International Energy Agency) Bioenergy Task 33, will bring together academic researchers, industry practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders to critically assess BECCS and BECCUS (bioenergy with carbon capture, utilisation and storage) technology pathways leading to net‑negative emissions; identify barriers to deployment; and explore opportunities for research, collaboration, and technology scale‑up. The workshop will also provide an overview of Supergen’s hydrogen-BECCUS and gasification projects and technology development.

Find out more and register by 4 May 2026.

Researchers’ Day
Wednesday 13 May, University of Glasgow

Our annual Researchers’ Day will see our researchers convene to explore pathways to impact. If you’re interested in finding out more about this event, please contact supergen-bioenergy@aston.ac.uk.
