Supergen Bioenergy Hub flexible funding – call for proposals
Proposals are invited for up to two flexible funding projects worth £100,000 to investigate the potential for co-production of bioenergy and bioproducts from UK resources to deliver sustainable environmental benefits, in the areas of algae and marine feedstocks, biological pathways to biomass derived gases and global land use. The closing date for proposals is 30 November 2020.
Last month we held a series of webinars exploring the ongoing work in the three areas identified, to help inform and scope the priorities of the call. If you are interested in submitting a proposal it is recommended you watch the recordings now available on YouTube:
- Watch: Land Use, 9 Sep 2020
- Watch: Anaerobic Digestion, 23 Sep 2020
- Watch: Algae and Marine Feedstocks, 28 Sep 2020
All proposals will be expected to be collaborative with other institutions and align to the areas identified, and significant engagement with the Hub is expected including presentations on progress results and impact of the project. All proposals should deliver impacts which can be reported to the Research Councils and on the Hub website as this funding is part of the Supergen project.
