Supergen Bioenergy Hub Showcase success
The Supergen Bioenergy Hub Showcase Event took place at Conference Aston in Birmingham from 6 – 8 September, successfully bringing together colleagues in-person from academia, industry and government departments from across the UK.
Marking the culmination of work over the last four years delivered by the Supergen Bioenergy Hub and stakeholder community, the three-day packed programme of events opened by Director Patricia Thornley included presentations from UK Research and Innovation; Industry Representatives from Croda, Kew Technologies and Progressive Energy; Policy Updates from BEIS, DEFRA and DfT; Fish-Bowl Discussions; Thematic Workshops on Communication, Policy and Future Fuels; as well as, Networking Dinners and Awards.

As part of the Communications and Policy Engagement, a new set of short thematic papers were released based on the outcomes of a media and literature review undertaken as part of the Supergen Bioenergy Hub Public Engagement Strategy. The papers feature key questions and areas of debate. You can download the published papers to date with more to be uploaded soon:

Commissioned by the Supergen Bioenergy Hub, and produced by Senate Media, a new animation on Carbon Balance was released at the Showcase Event and can be viewed on our You Tube channel. The animation was well-received by colleagues at the event and shared via twitter and LinkedIn to spread the word on #bioenergy!
