10:00-10:30: Introduction by Professor Neal Juster, Senior Vice-Principal and Deputy Vice Chancellor
10:30-11:00: Group photograph
11:00-12:00: Opening Session by Professor David Cumming, Head of School, School of Engineering
12:00-12:30:Oral Short 2-3 min (Shotgun) oral presentations introducing posters by students. Projector available – (bring file on usb)
12:30-14:25: Lunch
14:30-16:50: Student poster session (two cohorts)
Faculty Round-tables: Transnational Education in Engineering, promoting research collaborations and mobility, Young Faculty/ECR round-table on 1) Educating engineering students in interdisciplinary degree programs and 2) Challenges in educating engineering students in interdisciplinary degree programs.
17:00: Session Close
18:00-19:30: Evening Reception
September 8 Friday
09.30-10.00: Coffee/Tea
10:00-11:10: UK-Japan joint morning session including poster presentation
11:10-12:10: UK-Japan Lecture by Guest Speaker, Brian Toll, International Cooperation, European Commission, Brussels.
12:10-13:30: Group Working Lunch
12:10-13:30: UKJEEL Business Meeting / Lunch
13:30-15:00: Student-Faculty Round-Table Discussion
15:00-16:30: Student Group Work Presentation
16:30-17:30: Wrap-up session
18:00-19:30: Reception and UKJEEL Close
September 9 Saturday
Coach trip to Loch Lomond and a distillery tour and an evening reception
September 10 Sunday
Japanese students and faculty depart from Glasgow
