Bioenergy is a fast growing sector, but the success of the industry does not only depend on feedstock provision, technology development and investment but can be largely influenced by public acceptance. Public discussions surrounding bioenergy often link the sector to resource competition, deforestation, land use change or unsustainability. Communication strategies therefore play an important role how information is provided to the wider public.
This event aims to bring academia, industry and the public sector together to share their experience and discuss the challenges of communicating bioenergy. The workshop will also provide a platform for the participants to engage with key stakeholders and to improve their understanding of communication.
